Healthcare facilities often have on-site radiography, but rarely have interpretive services available in real time. By eliminating the need for film, processors, storage or shipping, these facilities are able to overcome the hurdles that have previously encumbered them. In addition to the cost savings of using digital technology, the on-line availability of on-line interpretations is expected to transform the nature of imaging in these environments.
